No Country for Young Kids

Another dubious first for Kentucky: our state is now ranked #1 for the highest rate of child abuse and neglect deaths of any state in the country.

Curiously, Kentucky also has the 2nd lowest abortion rate in the nation.

There's some dots to be connected there, maybe.

I'm not able to connect the dots............... so... is this a pro abortion statement??

Nope. I am neither pro-abortion nor anti-abortion.

I don't have an opinion, and even if I did, being a male, my opinion would be the apex of irrelevance anyhow. I am completely above the philosophical fray, where I belong.

All I'm saying is, there are a LOT of people out there who have no business reproducing, and a lot of people who shouldn't be allowed anywhere near children, let alone actually raising ones of their own.

That Kentucky is now the child-abuse capital of the nation simply proves my point.

Laurels for courage & Wisdom!

I thank you for raising these politically divisive--therefore, incredibly challenging--social issues. For all the reasons you state, Kentucky may wind up a proving ground for tenable solutions.

No matter what one's position, we may all agree we'd like to see fewer unplanned pregnancies (therefore, fewer unwanted children)--and ZERO non-consensual pregnancies.

"there are a LOT of people out there who have no business reproducing"

yeah, why is it the people who should be improving the gene pool the most, usually don't have any kids at all?
