Abandoned Caboose


On the outskirts of Shelbyville, this lovely old abandoned railroad caboose car can be found sitting next to the former Martin Jewelers building, which also seems semi-abandoned as well.



Martin Jewelers was owned and operated by Louie Paul Martin until his passing away in 2003.

    Great find! Do you ever think about posting the address to their locations? I'd love to visit some of them.

    I don't recall the exact address, but if you follow U.S. 60 East headed out of Shelbyville, you can't miss it on your left. If you reach Clayvillage, turn back, you've gone too far.

    Love this! I wonder how many of these abandoned cabooses are out there? There's a couple on my blog, and several more around here I haven't photographed yet...
